ADVANCING CHANGE WITH THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS
06. June 2024
10–22 June 2024, Lobby
The SLOGA platform—a coalition of non-governmental organisations dedicated to development, global learning, and humanitarian aid—is organising a travelling exhibition titled Advancing Change with the Sustainable Development Goals within their Sustainable.Local.Global II project. This exhibition aims to raise awareness about Slovenian international development cooperation and humanitarian aid among young people, as well as the broader professional and public audiences. The exhibition is touring six Slovenian statistical regions and will be on display from 10 June at the exhibition space in the University of Maribor Library lobby.
The opening will feature a roundtable discussion on the Sustainable Development Goals at 12:00. The discussion will focus on key issues such as poverty eradication, gender equality, and reducing inequalities.
The exhibition showcases various projects and best practices from NGOs in addressing contemporary challenges. The Sustainable Development Goals will be highlighted on panels created by members of the platform: Karitas Slovenia, the Circle Institute, the ADRA Slovenia humanitarian organisation, the Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth, the Časoris children’s newspaper, The FOCUS Association for Sustainable Development, the UMANOTERA Slovenian Foundation for Sustainable Development, and the PIC Legal Centre for the Protection of Human Rights and the Environment.
