You can request CIP every workday between 8 AM and 2 PM at the Acquisition and Technical Services Department or via e-mail at cip.ukm@um.si. The service is free of charge.
You are required to obtain the CIP (Cataloguing in Publication) entry before the publication or e-source release. It is created in accordance with the cataloguing rules.
To create the CIP entry, the following is required:
- final proofread copy or
- inner title page;
- colophon;
- and table of contents.
The library does not assume the liability for accuracy of the received data.
CIP is created within three workdays at the University of Maribor Library (cip.ukm@um.si) or the National and University Library, Ljubljana (cip@nuk.uni-lj.si).

Liable parties are obliged to send or submit 4 copies of publications or 16 copies of publications when issued with the help of public funds or by a legal person governed by public law to the National and University Library, Ljubljana. Deposit copies of electronic publications must be submitted via the Svarog portal.
One can also submit deposit copies personally at the University of Maribor Library.
