LOCOFILM: A Cycle of Local History Films

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; 9–20 December 2024, at 12 PM, 5 PM, and 6 PM in Glazer Hall

We kindly invite you to come watch movies with us! The local history narratives offer insight into the events, people, and the environment throughout time. The common theme of this Locofilm cycle is the retrospective of films by Zoran Bilodjerič (1951–2014), a journalist, editor, screenwriter, director, and cameraman from Maribor, who passed a decade ago.

Besides the seven films by Bilodjerič, the programme encompasses three documentary portraits of people, whom we are remembering this year: the cultural historian, playwright, translator, librarian, and director of University of Maribor Library Bruno Hartman (1924–2011); the internationally known soprano and professor Ondina Otta Klasinc (1924–2016); and the poet, bibliophile and general Rudolf Maister Vojanov (1875–1934).
