AMANDA SVENSSON IN SLOVENIA
06. March 2025
Tuesday, 11 March 2025, at 5 PM, Glazer Hall
Amanda Svensson, the author of the novel titled A System So Magnificent It Is Blinding, will be interviewed in English by Kristian Koželj, the book’s editor. Svenson’s novel was in 2023 nominated for the prestigeous Booker Prize.
In a masterfully woven tale about an unusual Swedish family that pieced together before our eyes like a puzzle, the author blinds us. Just as our vision begins to adjust, she blinds us again—and again. And when, at the very end, she pulls out her final trump card, leaving us convinced that we have finally connected all the dots, she leaves us speechless. All the while, she reveals new worlds and delights us in ways beyond words. The novel was translated by Iva Klemenčič.
We look forward to your visit!
