12TH CHESS TOURNAMENT AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARIBOR LIBRARY

The University of Maribor Library in collaboration with Slovenian Chess Federation is organizing the 12th traditional chess tournament. The seven-time national champion, chess grand master, scientist, and lecturer of psychology at the School of Advanced Social Studies Jana Krivec, PhD will open the event.
It will be a Swiss tournament with 9 rounds; the tempo is set to 7 minutes with 3 second bonus for each move. International chess referee Branko Vadlja will ensure that the tournament is in accordance with the rules.
Although all of the spots have already been taken and no further applications are possible, we invite you to come and watch the tournament.
The chess tournament is a part of the Festival for Open Education – FestUM.
