One of the few Slovenian surrealists, academic painter Lojze Adamlje, presents his latest works in a solo exhibition at the Art Exhibition Hall of the University of Maribor Library. This exhibition once again reflects the artist's ever-explorative creative personality. Despite delving deep into thought, his work remains distanced from the everyday nightmares that plague humanity, whether today or throughout history. For this reason, Adamlje's paintings do not evoke negative feelings of fear or discomfort in the viewer. On the contrary, they inspire a sense of survival, even within the parallel, unreal world of the artist's noble imagination, which knows no destruction.
The exhibition will be on view until 31 August 2024.
