Tadeja Tominšek Čehulić: Leto 1945 – korenine in posledice obračuna v Sloveniji. Časopis za zgodovino in narodopisje, Maribor 83=48(2012), 4, str. 63–83

Tadeja Tominšek Čehulić: The Year 1945 – the Roots and the Consequences of the Bloodbath in Slovenia. Review for History and Ethnography, Maribor 83=48(2012), 4, pp. 63–83

The treatise on the post-war bloodbath in 1945 in Slovenia is based on the victimology overview, i.e. on the list of names of victims of World War II and of the post-war massacres. This list was put together in the last 15 years at the Inštitut za novejšo zgodovino (Institute of Contemporary History) in Ljubljana. On the basis of this database an analysis of the bloodbaths of the defeated side, which took place immediately after the war, or more specific from May 1945 until the end of January 1946, when at least 14.700 people lost their lives, is given. Although this research cannot answer all the open questions, it can at least give the basic picture of against who the bloodbaths in 1945 were performed and how they were carried out.
