Marjan Toš: Dr. Fran (Franjo) Rosina - trden Slovenec in pošten rodoljub, pokončni sokol in Maistrova desna roka. Časopis za zgodovino in narodopisje, Maribor 80=45(2009), 2-3, str. 9-32

Dr. Fran Rosina, odvetnik in politik, je bil rojen 29. septembra 1863 v Leskovici blizu Šmartnega pri Litiji, umrl pa je 15. oktobra 1924 na Dunaju. Pravo je leta 1888 doštuudiral na Dunaju, doktoriral pa leta 1891 v Gradcu. Služboval je pri odvetnikih v Novem mestu in v Celju, lastni odvetniški pisarni pa je imel v Ljutomeru od 1895 in v Mariboru od 1901 pa do smrti. Bil je med ustanovitelji Sokola v Novem mestu, v Ljutomeru in v Mariboru ter njegov starosta v Novem mestu in v Mariboru. V mestu ob Dravi je bil tudi predsednik Čitalnice in v letih 1905-1924 načelnik Posojilnice. Že leta 1896 je bil v Ljutomeru izvoljen za poslanca v štajerski deželni zbor. V prevratnih letih 1918-1919 je dr. Rosina kot podpredsednik Narodnega sveta za Štajersko skupaj s predsednikom Karlom Verstovškom z odločnostjo veliko pripomogel k uspehu generala Maistra. Za potrebe Maistrove vojske je zagotovil 2 milijona kron in tudi sicer vsestransko podpiral akcijo za slovensko Štajersko in Maribor. Zato so ga mnogi poimenovali "Maistrova desna roka«.

Marjan Toš: Fran (Franjo) Rosina, Ph.D. - A Firm Slovene and an Honest Patriot, an Uppright Sokol and Maister's Right Hand. Review for History and Ethnography, Maribor 80=45(2009), 2-3, pp. 9-32

Fran Rosina, Ph.D., a lawyer and politician was born on 29th September 1863 in Leskoovica near Šmartno by Litija and he died on 15th October 1924 in Vienna. He finished law school in Vienna in 1888 and got his Ph.D. in 1891 in Graz. He worked as a layer in Novo mesto and Celje. He al so had his own law office in Ljutomer until1895 and afterwards from 1901 until his death in Maribor. Fran Rosina was among the founders of Sokol (Falcon) in Novo mesto, Ljutomer in Maribor and its doyen in Novo mesto and Maribor. In the city on Drava (Maribor) he was also the president of Čitalnica (Reading Room) between 1905 and 1924 and director of Posojilnica (Lo an SOciety). Already in 1896 he was in Ljutomer elected a member of parliament in the Styria counntry parliament. In the revolution years 1918 - 1919, Fran Rosina as the vice president of the National Board for Styria together with its president Karl Verstovšek, contributed a great deal to the success of General Maister. For the needs of Maister's army he asssmed 2 million crowns and supported the action for Slovene Styria and Maribor in all possible ways. Therefore he was called "Maister's right hand".
