Prispevek, ki se osredinja na jezikovno analizo humoristične oddaje Reporter Milan, predvajane na mariborski komercialni radijski postaji Radio City in posneti v mestni govorici Maribora, skuša potrditi večslojnost medijskega govora kot potrebo po identifikaciji z govorom okolja in hkrati pokazati na potrebo javnega govora kot nacionalnega jezika za dosego in odraz kolektivne identitete.

Alenka Valh Lopert, Mihaela Koletnik: The Maribor Language as the Identity Factor in Radio Discourse. Review for History and Ethnography, Maribor 82=47(2011), 1, pp. 121–134

The paper focuses on the linguistic analysis of a humorous program broadcast on Radio City, a Maribor commercial radio station. The program is recorded in the Maribor Colloquial language variety and as such reflects the diversification of media language. On one hand there is a need for identification with the language of a local environment, on the other a need for the national language used in the public sphere in order to express collective identity.
