Vinko Škafar: Mariborske šolske sestre in sv. Frančišek Asiški. Časopis za zgodovino
in narodopisje, Maribor 89=54(2018), 3, str. 47–67

Avtor v članku obravnava odnos med mariborskimi šolskimi sestrami, uradno imenovanimi
»Šolske sestre svetega Frančiška Kristusa Kralja«, in sv.
V luči Frančiškove karizme so predstavljene
mariborske šolske sestre kot nova mladika na Frančiškovem redovniškem drevesu.

Vinko Škafar: School Sisters of Maribor and St. Francis of Assisi. Review for History
and Ethnography, Maribor 89=54(2018), 3, pp. 47–67

The author deals with the relation between the School Sisters of Maribor, officially
named School Sisters of St. Francis of Christ the King, and St. Francis of Assisi (1181/2–
1226). The saint founded three orders, the Friars Minor, the Poor Clares and the Secular
Third Order, wherefrom later congregations of regular friars and congregations
of religious sisters developed, the School Sisters of Maribor being one of them. In the
light of Saint Francis’ charisma, the School Sisters of Maribor are presented as a new
branch on the tree of Franciscan orders.
