Proti koncu ruske državljanske vojne je veliko število državljanov nekdanje carske Rusije emigriralo v tujino. Kraljevina Jugoslavija je po letu 1921 spadala med države z najštevilčnejšo rusko emigracijo. Ruska emigracija med katero je bilo veliko intelekktualcev je v danih okoliščinah postala zelo aktivna tako na kulturnem kot tudi znannstvenem področju in je kmalu po prihodu na jugoslovansko ozemlje začela ustanavljati svoje organizacije. Članek obravnava samo kulturne, humanitarne in vojaške organizacije, ki so delovale v Mariboru. Temelji predvsem na arhivskem gradivu Arhiva Republike Slovenije, Diislocirane enote III. Zajema obdobje med obema vojnama in je del avtorjeve diplomske naloge z naslovom Organizacije ruskih emigrantov na Slovenskem 1921-1941.

Towards the end of the Russian civil war many of the citizens of the former tsarist Russia emigrated abroad. The Kingdom Yugoslavia was after 1921 among the counntries with most numerous Russian emigration. A lot of intellectuals were among the Russian emigration and the emigrants became active very soon. They were active in cultural and scientific field and started establishing own organisations soon after arrriving to Yugoslavia. The article deals only with cultural,. humanitarian and military organisations placed in Maribor. The article is based mostly on archival materials from the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia, Dislocated Unit III., it covers the period between two wars and is part of the author's diploma with the title Organisations of the Russian Emigrants in Slovenia 1921-1941.
