Avtor na podlagi teorije Mircea Eliadeja o nehomogenosti sveta arhaičnega človeka na kratko predstavi »hišo« kot svetišče v ljudskem verovanju in običajih pri koroških Slovencih. Izpostavljeni so prehodi med zunanjim in notranjim svetom, torej vrata in prag ter ognjišče kot središče »hiše«. Osredotoča se na ozemlje spodnje Ziljske doline s poudarkom na občinah Straja vas Bistrica na Zilji in Štefan na Zilji.

Peter Wiesflecker: The House as »Sacred Place« in Folk Belief and Customs of Slovenes Living in Koroška. Review for History and Ethnography, Maribor 82=47(2011), 4, pp. 193–206

On the basis of the Mircea Eliade’s theory on archaic man’s inhomogeneous world the author presents “the house” as a temple of human beliefs and rites of Slovenes living in Koroška. Passages between the inner and the outer world are presented, i.e. the door, threshold, and the fireplace as the centre of »the house«. He concentrates on the area of the lower Ziljska dolina with the emphasis on the municipalities Straja vas Bistrica na Zilji and Štefan na Zilji.
