Ptujski izvod Gratae posteritati predstavlja enega od dveh znanih ohranjenih koloriranih
izvodov latinske izdaje, tiskane na Dunaju leta 1560. Listi knjižnega bloka so,
zaradi uporabe korozivnih barvil, na nekaterih mestih močno poškodovani. V prispevku
so podani pregled barvnih snovi, ki so jih v 16. stoletju uporabljali za tisk in ročno
koloriranje grafičnih upodobitev, kratek materialni opis, vzroki poškodb in analiza
barvnih snovi, s katerimi so bile grafične upodobitve ptujskega izvoda kolorirane.

Damages and the Analysis of Colouring Materials with the Use of the PIXE Method.

The Ptuj copy of Gratae posteritati represents one of the two known coloured copies of
the Latin edition, which was printed in Vienna in 1560. The textblock paper leaves are
partially heavily damaged due to the use of corrosive colourants. The paper presents an
overview of pigments that were in the 16th century used for print and hand-coloured
graphic depictions, a short material description, causes for damages and the analysis
of pigments used for colouring the graphic depictions of the Ptuj copy.
