Prispevek interdisciplinarno pristopi k obravnavi in analizi redkega lastniškega pečatnika iz 13. stoletja odkritega med arheološkimi izkopavanji na Piramidi nad Mariborom. Povzet je zgodovinski oris gradu Gornji Maribor (castro Marchburch) in njegovih ministerialov Mariborskih gospodov ter najdiščne okoliščine pečatnika in razlomljenega keramičnega ovoja z odtisom taistega pečatnika. Ob uporabi novih zgodovinskih virov in razprav je bilo lastništvo pečatnika korigirano in pripisano Ulriku II. Mariborskemu, ki je v virih omenjen med leti 1229 do 1252.

Mojca Jančar, Mateja Ravnik: Ulrich II of Maribor. Seal Matrix and Ceramic Case from the Piramida Archaeologic Site in Maribor. Archaeological Contributions to Interdisciplinary Insight and Analysis of these two Finds. Review for History and Ethnography, Maribor 91=56(2020), 1–2, pp. 5–23

The treatise presents an interdisciplinary approach to the analysis ownership of seal matrix from the 13th century, which was found during archaeological excavations on the Piramida Hill in Maribor. It summarises a historical outline of the castle Upper Maribor (castro Marchburch) and its ministeriales, the Lords of Maribor, as well as the circumstances of finding the seal matrix and the broken ceramic case with the imprint of the same seal matrix. Based on researching new historical sources and treatises, the seal matrix’s ownership was corrected and attributed to Ulrich II of Maribor, who was mentioned in the sources between 1229 and 1252.
