Prispevek obravnava oblikovanje kulta osebnosti »mariborskega sina« Wilhelma von Tegetthoffa, junaka bitke pri Visu, ki je neposredno po smrti dobil sloves junaka monarhije s postavitvijo spomenikov v Puli, Mariboru in na Dunaju. V ospredje sta postavljena odnos do premične kulturne dediščine ter muzeološka in heritološka interpretacija.

Oskar Habjanič: Wilhelm Tegetthoff’s Legacy in the Regional Museum Maribor in the
Context of the Heritology Discourse. Review for History and Ethnography, Maribor
91=56(2020), 2–3, pp. 53–101

The treatise discusses the cult of personality around “the son of Maribor”, Wilhelm von Tegetthoff, the hero of the Battle of Lissa. Immediately after his death, he was celebrated as a hero of the Monarchy, and memorials in his honour were erected in Pula, Maribor, and Vienna. The relation to the movable cultural heritage and the museological as well as the heritology interpretation, are emphasised.
