Prispevek obravnava različne poglede na podor hriba, ki ga je 25. januarja 1348 na območju Dobrača, do 2166 metrov visokega gorskega masiva na Koroškem, povzročil potres. Ta dogodek ima še danes v spominski kulturi Ziljske doline posebno mesto. Lokalni kolektivni spomin nudi zelo poseben in s tem naravnim pojavom povezan »arhetip o koncu sveta«, ki se je razvijal vse od poznega srednjega veka.

Peter Wieseflecker: The Myth and the Archetype of the End of the World – the Rockslide of Dobratsch in 1348 and its Position in Within the Collective Memory of the Gailtal. Review for History and Ethnography, Maribor 84=49(2013), 4, pp. 5–27

The topic of the lecture is the varying perception of a rockslide caused by an earthquake in the area of Dobratsch, an up to 2166 m high mountain massif, on January 25, 1348. To this day, the rockslide of Dobratsch has a special position within the public history of the Gailtal. The local collective memory features a certain archetype of the apocalypse associated with this natural disaster.
