Prispevek prikazuje politično življenje nemške manjšine na Slovaškem, to pomeni predvsem med letoma 1918 in 1945. Pred 1. svetovno vojno in po 2. svetovni vojni težko govorimo o organiziranem političnem življenju karpatskih Nemcev. Osrednje teme prispevka so: od ustanavljanj raznih svetov do političnih strank; boj teh strank za maloštevilne glasove in povezovanje z večjimi strankami; politična razdeljenost na dva pola: aktiviste in negativiste, pronemce in promadžare; nacifikacija politike in izgon oziroma izselitev manjšine - s tem tudi umre politično življenje karpatskih Nemcev v okviru Češko(Slovaške). Dodana je tudi statistika prebivalstva in delež manjšine.

In the paper, the political life of the German national minoriry in Slovakia, i.e. primarily during the period 1918-1945, is depicted. Before the First World War and after the Second World War one can hardly speak of organized political life on the part of the Carpathian Germans. From the establishment of various council s to political parties. The struggle of these parti es for the scarce votes and the coalescing with major parti es. Political division into two poles: activists and negativists, pro-German and pro-Hungarian oriented. The Nazification of policy and the expulsion i.e. emigration of the minoriry, bringing abour the withering away of the political life of the Carpathian Germans within Czecho(Slovakia). Population statistics and the portion of the minoriry are appended.
