Miha Sluga: Slovenski vojaki v prvi svetovni vojni. I. del: Od sarajevskega atentata do vojne z Italijo. Časopis za zgodovino in narodopisje, Maribor 80=45(2009), 1, str. 30-60

Na osnovi analize dnevnikov, spominov in korespondence slovenskih vojakov, udeležencev velikega svetovnega spopada v letih 1914-1918 skuša avtor ugotoviti, kako se je skozi različna obdobja prve svetovne vojne spreminjalo vojakovo dojemanje te vojne in predvsem, kako je to vplivalo na njihovo lojalnost do habsburške monarhije. V uvodnem prispevku, ki obravnavano tematiko omejuje na čas od srajevskega atentata do vstopa Italije v vojno na strani antantnih sil, izpostavlja, da v "avstrijski" patriotiyem večine slovenskih vojakov ni bilo moč dvomiti, a hkrati opozarja na njihovo stopnjujoče se nezadovoljstvo ter na prve zametke dobrovoljskega gibanja.

Miha Sluga: The slovene soldiers in world war I. Part one: From Sarajevo assessination till the war with Italy. Review for history and ethnography, Maribor 80=45(2009), 1, pp. 30-60

On the basis of the analysis of the journals, memoirs and correspondence of the slovene soldiers, who took part in the big world fight in the years 1914-1918, the author tries to find out, how through different stages of the World War I. the soldier's perception of the war has changed and mostly how it affected their loyalty to the Habsburg Monarchy. In the introductory article, which reduces the theme to the period between the Sarajevo assassination and the point when Italy joined the war on the side of the entente forces, the author stresses that one cannot doubt the "Austrian" patriotism by the majority of the Slovene soldiers, but nevertheless points out their growing dissatisfaction and the beginnings of the volunteer movement.
