V zadnjem delu razprave avtor ugotavlja, da se je v letu 1918 zaradi vojaških neuspehov centralnih sil ter splošnega pomanjkanja in izčrpanosti tudi slovenskih vojakov začel polaščati nemir. Naraščajoče število dezerterjev, upori vojaških enot, predvsem pa vedno agresivnejše zavzemanje za samostojno jugoslovansko državo dajejo vedeti, da je bilo zaupanje v habsburško dinastijo in avstro-ogrsko državo v tem času že načeto.

Miha Sluga: Slovene Soldiers in World War 1, Part III., The last year of the War and the Monarchy. Review for History and Ethnography, Maribor 80=45(2009), 4, pp. 79-109

In the last part of the treatise the author finds out that in 1918 because of the military failures of the central forces and because of the general poverty and exhaustion the anxiety seized al so the Slovene soldiers. The growing number of deserters, the revolt s of the military units and mostly the aggressive striving for an independent Yugoslav state show that the trust in the Habsburg dynasty and the Habsburg Monarchy had already been shattered.
