Članek obravnava gospodarsko krizo v Sloveniji v tranzicijskem obdobju (obdobje ob osamosvojitvi Slovenije), privatizacijo gospodarstva, opiše problematiko stečajev in usodo večjih ptujskih podjetij v tem kriznem obdobju za slovensko gospodarstvo. Gre za eno težjih obdobij za gospodarstvo v slovenski zgodovini.

In the paper the economic crisis in Slovenia during the transition period (period after the independance of Slovenia), the privatisation of the economy, the general problem ofbankruptcy and the fate oflarger Ptuj enterprises during the crisis period are con¬sidered. It is one of the grayer periods for the ecomony in the Slovene history.
