Avtor se v razpravi ukvarja s procesom t. im. socialne in nacionalne diferenciacije v majhnih mestih, trgih in vaseh na jezikovno mešanem Koroškem, ki je bilo doslej v avstrijskem raziskovanju bolj malo obravnavano. V ospredju je področje južne Koroške, še posebej zahodni del trške občine Šentjakob v Rožu.

Arno Georg Kerschbaumer: Between Profession, the Emperor and a Country Estate. The Political Orientation and National Differentiation on the Case of a Family from the Rož Valley in the 19th and 20th Century. Review for History and Ethnography, Maribor 89=54(2018), 4, pp. 48–64

In this treatise, the author discusses the process of the so-called social and national differentiation
in small towns, markets and villages in the language mixed Carinthia, which has until now not really been discussed in the Austrian research. The southern part of Carinthia, mostly the western part of the township Šentjakob in Rož are discussed.
