Članek oriše delovanje Janka Mačkovška (1888–1945) na pariški mirovni konferenci.
Ovrednotena je njegova vloga znotraj delegacije Kraljevine Srbov, Hrvatov in Slovencev,
kjer je deloval kot kartograf in statistik, pri čemer članek v celoti temelji na arhivskih
virih. Posebna pozornost je namenjena Mačkovškovim pogledom na jadransko
vprašanje v luči italijansko-jugoslovanskega antagonizma in problematiki avstrijsko-
-jugoslovanske razmejitve.

Andrej Rahten: “It’s not the Time to Indulge”. Janko Mačkovšek at the Paris Peace
Conference. Review for History and Ethnography, Maribor 89=54(2018), 4, pp. 15–47

The treatise outlines the activities of Janko Mačkovšek (1888–1945) at the Paris Peace Conference.
His role as a delegate of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes is evaluated.
He was the delegation’s cartographer and statistician and the article is based on archival
materials. A special attention is paid to Mačkovšek’s views on the Adria question from the point of view of the Italian-Yugoslav antagonism, and to the problems of the Austrian-
Yugoslav delimitation.
